Although the Finance Assistant posts are generic and can work in any area of the Finance Services team; Initially, training and responsibility for this particular post will be Purchase Ledger, (the processing of invoices and sundry payments, handling supplier payment queries and managing supplier statements),  with a view to progressing into the other Finance assistant roles as required.

Respect for your expertise

This is a highly important role within our Finance, Modernisation & Digital portfolio, which means you’ll need:

  • Relevant experience or qualification equivalent to SCQF Level 4-5 qualification (e.g. National 4/5 school qualification)
  • Competent written and oral communication skills required for daily interaction with internal staff and external contacts
  • Proven working knowledge of Microsoft packages/payment systems
  • Demonstrate good team working skills
  • Experience of providing Finance administration support

Please note you must live in or be relocating to Scotland to be considered for this role. The role is hybrid however office presence will be as and when required.
