QAT Analyst

We are recruiting for a full time QAT Analyst on a fixed term basis for 23 months.

The QAT Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of business‑critical systems that support SEPA’s regulatory and operational objectives. The role will work closely with delivery teams, business stakeholders, and technical colleagues to plan, design, and execute effective testing across multiple workstreams, with a strong emphasis on manual testing.

The postholder will contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, support risk‑based decision making, and help ensure changes are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, document, and execute manual test cases aligned to business and technical requirements
  • Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios and risks early
  • Log, manage, and retest defects through to resolution using Azure DevOps
  • Maintain clear and auditable test evidence and documentation, including test plans and reports
  • Support UAT and collaborate with business users to validate outcomes
  • Contribute to test estimation, planning, and reporting across parallel initiatives
  • Use SharePoint to manage and share test artefacts, documentation, and test outputs
  • Work collaboratively within agile and hybrid delivery environments
  • Support continuous improvement of QA processes and standards

Respect for your expertise

This is a highly important role within our Finance, Modernisation & Digital portfolio, which means you’ll need:

  • ISTQB or equivalent testing qualification
  • Proven experience as a QA / Test Analyst, with a strong focus on manual testing
  • Hands‑on experience using Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking
  • Experience working with SharePoint for document management and collaboration
